Audrey Allgaier 

 

Mrs. Allgaier received her Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA and is a member of the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME) and Georgia Music Education Association (GMEA). She has experience teaching in the public school system, has worked with Choruses (ranging from elementary-adult) and all school Band Instruments (K-12), although she specializes in woodwinds.  She studied flute with Principal Flute Player Lorraine Jones in Savannah, and completed her Voice Studies with Dr. Robert Harris, Dr. Lucinda Schultz, and Dr. Scott Buchanan. She is currently continuing her vocal studies with Mr. Paul Fisher in Savannah, GA. 

 

Audrey has been teaching music lessons for over 20 years both and has performed as a soloist and as an ensemble performer (on her Flute and as a Soprano) for close to 30 years. She also plays piano for Salvation Army's Sunday Holiness Meetings (where she teaches as well), and is a regular Singer with St. John's Church in downtown Savannah. 

 

She is currently a member of a small ensemble group called Bella Harmony, in which she performs music in many genres (flute and voice) with Classical Guitarist Joe Flanders. 

She teaches mostly Piano, Flute, Voice, Clarinet, Saxophone, Ear Training and Music Theory in one-on-one and small group classes.

Joe Flanders

 

Mr. Flanders holds a Bachelor Degree in Music Performance (Classical Guitar and Lute) from the University of California, Irvine. He studied Classical Guitar and Lute with John Schneiderman, teacher and world renowned performer (click below for more info), and has had the opportunity to study many of the top classical guitar performers in the country. He also enjoys studying and playing on his Banjo (which he has played since his youth). He teaches an wide range of plucked string instruments and piano, as well as music reading, theory and general music, and works with all ages at every level.  Joe has played and taught guitar for over 25 years.

 

Joe performs as a soloist for events, and is also currently a member of a small performing ensemble group called Bella Harmony, in which he performs music in many genres with Flutist and Soprano Audrey Allgaier.

While classical guitar is his main discipline, he also teaches music lessons in blues, rock, and jazz guitar, 5 & 4 string banjo, mandolin, bass and ukulele.

Bella Harmony Music

Jon Willis (inactive @ studio level) 

 

Mr. Willis has been performing locally for over 35 years and teaching music lessons for over 30 years. He loves learning and playing his craft, and shares what he learns with fellow music lovers and students.

 

          Jon studied bass guitar with world renowned bassist Beaver Felton, creator of the internationally published "Super Chops for Bass" instruction series.  Technique and theory are two of the most important aspects of his music teaching skills.  Some of his former students have gone on to graduate from the Atlanta Institute of Music, University of Miami and Berkley College of Music among others. Jon currently performes with various well known bands around Savannah and is well connected with the music scene. He has been voted amongst his peers as "the Best Bass Player on the River"
